i hear influences from The Cure's 17 seconds, Faith and Pornography. also Echo & The Bunnymen's Heaven Up Here, Depeche Mode's Violator, The Sound, Bauhaus and a lot of Joy Divisison. it is impossible nowadays not to sound like something we've already heard, but in this case, this is an EPIC song with brilliant lyrics that looks to the future instead of being a copy from other works made in the past. the entire album is a masterpiece, one of my 15/20 favourite of all time.

This seems to be a lot of people's early favorite track from the album. "Be careful what you're sellin', you can take a telling...". I can so hear Brian Molko here. Pure Placeboesque track to me. Love it, but its no 'Not Sleeping'!
