Gotta agree with others here who prefer the Liverpool Five's version of this tune written by Chip Taylor. In interviews he said that he did too. Rock on Reg.

From the Telegraph's obituary of Reg: It seems his life outside music had been unremarkable until Saturday, June 1 1974. “It was lunchtime,” he recalled. “I saw a news bulletin about a fire in Flixborough. It described how the blaze was melting windows half a mile away. I tell my wife about it. Six o’clock, I turn on the news again, and it says the explosion only happened at eight minutes to five. How did I see a report about a disaster four hours before it happened?

Bravo, Reg, now out amongst the stars... The first time I visited New York I went from seeing DNA (Arto, Robin, and Ikue) at The Kitchen on a bill with Rastakwair (featuring Lizzy Mercier Descloux) over to Max's Kansas City to see The Troggs. No wonder I moved there. A few years later, Red Dark Sweet went out to see a rare Holy Modal Rounders gig, and they did "From Home" by The Troggs. We can always use more Troggs...
