5 weeks ago I was sat in my mate's kitchen with him just a bit merry while he was flipping through various songs on YouTube to enhance ambiance. Tracks from The Velvet Underground + Nico, The Stones' - Sticky Fingers, Allah-Las, The Junkyard Liberty, then he picked "Yeah" by The Telescopes and WOW! I TOTALLY got the silent part, what a stunning use of silence as a sound. Well things got taken to a whole new level when he put this track on... I kid you not I was in orbit with this. I was in the cockpit of the shuttle and blasting off. I've listened to this song since then and it's just an amazing piece of work. But what make it even more amazing for me is that David Fitzgerald, who was in the band and played guitar on this, is the mate who I was sat with. Stunning piece of music, my friend. I - am - in - awe of this.

Saw them at Reading, loved this album. Was so excited to see them at Rock City downstairs late 90s - they had two keyboards, a theremin and I think, a trumpet player. Awful.
