The whole "but she would have been making money" story isn't valid. She could have literally been given millions, up front in cash while still in the Supremes but this wouldn't change what was going to happen so she would have carried on acting the way she did. Don't get me wrong, i loves me some Flo, but i ain't gonna lie about her to win a pathetic immature and damn right disrespectful argument that has been going on for over 30 years. LEAVE. IT. BE.

WAIT! not quite "END OF" berry Gordy and i suspect Diana, didn't want a "group" they wanted Diana to go solo and for the Supremes to fail. This ate away at Florence to the point where she decided to just give up fighting them. She twigged that no matter what she did, they would push Diana forward and the "backers" back. And what's the point in doing something which: you don't find fun. Don't enjoy and don't like anymore?

Really? Were gonna get into the whole "who was best" argument again? It's like trying to decide which came first: The chicken or the egg. We all have our personal favourites and yet some of you try to glorify your favourite more than they deserve. That goes for both Diana Ross and Florence Ballard fans. We all know the facts so lets stick to them. Flo was fired. She had put on weight and missed sessions why? because the group wasn't a group anymore and thats what she wanted, a group. END OF.

i love the Supremes, but this was THE worst LP released by them, lol A Bit Of Liverpool should have gone unreleased, i know alot of people like this LP but i just think it was beneath The Supremes

@Youknowme1990 I am with you. The ladies had three distince voices, and one would not sound like the other on any leads. In spite of it all, people loved them anyway. The comparison horse has been beaten into dust at this point. The glue even dried up. Let it go!

It is because it is not 'merely' a cover! It was done 'with' a bit of 'Liverpool' approach! They would've done it differently had it been for the sake of covering it! They did "Got a Hold On Me" as well 'FOR' this presentation..... and not as a 'Motown' or Supremes' Number alone.

Why would this song be on the "A Bit Of Liverpool" album when in fact it's really just another Motown cover? I can see You've Really Got A Hold On Me since the Beatles did a good version, but this is the exception to the rule.

I don't think so, from what others have said, that wasn't Flo's personality. Yes she could be an absolute bitch, but only when she had a cause such as when Berry called her fat in front of her husband and she threw her drink in his face LOL

Well I have the first take of It Doesn't Matter How I Say It and intend to post it soon as Flo sounds much better on it. I wish they had used that take or one on which she sounds like that. I would love to hear what the promotion team at ABC have to say...

I love the supremes version Flo shows her soul so clear and you can also hear mary and Diana too. I love it that Flo is nearly as loud as Diana. 5*
