Thank u Keith.The Strollers were definitely the best vocal Malaysian group those years--better than any from Singapore, including the Quests or Trailers. Its a pity that some of their leading lights are not with them anymore. Current Malaysian groups should be singing their songs to revive their memories.

I was watching Grand Funk Railroad on youtube and suddenly The Strollers came to my mind. And here I am, listening to Do What You've Gotta Do. The first sound immediately sent me back to my teenage years. Followed by Just As I Am, Silly Joke and Midday Sun almost filled my eyes with tears. That was the time when I was playing guitar and drum and were fond of bands like The Alleycats and Sweet September in Penang, October Cherries and The Falcons from Singapore. The local band during that time were just as good only that we were not recognized.

They were the absolutey best band of the time and it is sad they did not get international fame. Because of the time, because of the period, the limititation of culture and appreciation, in this country, sadly, even now.Hmm, I dated Billy Chang briefly. So sweet memories.... He probably won't remember me, but no matter. Got my memories!The Strollers were the best talent then and now, because no other group has reached this level. Thanks guys! Keep up all the commentries so we can keep in touch!
