The Stranglers are so good. Just love them. They helped to fill the niche left in my heart when The Doors disbanded for a keyboard rich act with growling vocals and dark outrageous lyrics. Simply an excellent act! - My band took punk in a whole other direction. Check out The Inputs- Elvis Is Dead here on YouTube to see what I mean. But, I love the sound of The Stranglers, They were my favorite punk act ever!

What Hendrix did to "All along the watchtower" by Dylan, The Stranglers did the same to Bacharach/ Warwick's version. It's bloody brilliant, JJ's growling bass, Hugh's pissed off lyric expression, and Dave's Keyboard, just fantastic.
