One of the great power pop records of the late '60s.

The Staccatos would later change their name to The Five Man Electrical Band and have a huge hit with "Signs".

I was too young to see them, but my older brother was able to get the album "A Wild Pear" (The Staccatos on side one and The Guess Who on side two) signed by all members of The Staccatos. I love their sound. For a while Ottawa was known for more than being the capital of Canada. Great times.

I actually am from Ottawa, and grew up watching them when they'd play Parkdale United Church's basement they were very friendly and would interact with their fans on a personal level .Brian Lauzon one time driving down the main street reconized my girl friend and I as fans stopped to say hello and give us passes to his next show. Les Emerson's song Signs is widely hailed as one of the best rock songs of all time

their music was independent of 4 Seasons, but I see the similarity. Or hear it.

haven't heard this record in over 40 years. I actually owned this record. They became the 5 Man Electrical Band.

Believe it or not, I was lucky enough to have a Co-op job (for my College) working with the drummer of this band (who is actually singing lead vocals on this song!!). It was awesome talking with him about the history of the band and how everything played out! Cheers, thanks for the great tune on here!

Another song I only ever heard on Joe Donovan's overnight show on 840 WHAS about 20 years ago. Great song that never gets any airplay.

I've loved this track since 1968 as much as "Half Past Midnight". And I'm SO glad the FMEB album finally came out on CD this year ...
