I remember in 1976 when I attend Sherrad Middle School located in Detroit, MI. At that time I was in the 7th grade, the lead singer of this song, his brother was my music teacher. The Spinners surprise everybody at school and perform before the entire student body. The Spinners performance was one of the highlights of attending middle school. I still listen to the Spinners' music collections today.
