Heard this while half asleep on the radio this morning, had to find it - one the nicest songs I've heard in ages.

"Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars" is very Leonard Cohen-esque. Keith Zarriello, of the Shivers, on writing this song (Jo is bandmate Jo Schornikow):"We had a gig in Montreal which is the birthplace and home of Leonard Cohen and we drove all through upstate New York to go to a gig while listening to Leonard Cohen for seven hours... Because of some legal troubles I’ve had in my life, we were taken into custody at the border and the Canadian authorities denied us entrance into Canada (Jo laughs) so we had to drive all the way back and we listened to Leonard Cohen for another seven hours. I was kind of depressed and when I got home, I wrote that song."
