Now theres a man who has talent. I'd like to see some of todays "superstars" sit on a bar stool and give it a go. ha ha. we'd all go home. I'm 56 years old and always wanted to see Perry live. We all have to admit, he had quite a unique voice, very pleasant, thanks for posting.

Tony Mottola's playing is perfect in every way, but so much soul! I have been playing guitar for 35 years now and can't count on one hand how many players fit that profile. Remember, when this was on TV it might have been the only thing you saw like it for days! We didn't gobble it up and move to the next one. I remember seeing Lou Rawls on the Mike Douglas show and I had 'Love is in the Air' stuck in my head for days. I was about 9 years old. lol

What a gem. A rare treat to see Tony Mattola playing (marvelously) on nylon string from that era. Perry doesn't sound too bad either. It's not often you hear the verse.
