Live on Ch5's 'Open House' in 2000, prior to the UK leg of their 'Carnival of Hits' tour. A group of us from the Seekers Chatgroup made up a large proportion of the audience!

I know this clip is available elsewhere on you tube, but I couldn't find a decent quality stereo version, so I've uploaded this, which is the version I recorded at the time, transferred from DV.

More of these videos on the playlist below:

If you enjoy this, please consider buying one of The Seekers' DVDs or CDs - details and latest news at http://www.telinco.com/Seekers -

we're all hoping there will be live concerts in 2012 to celebrate the group's 50th anniversary!

Very good version of 19 century's old Russian folk song "Iz-za ostrova na strezhen'"- "From behind the island to the stream".

What an amazing voice. I first heard that in the sixties and was entranced by that voice. But she sounds even better now.

I saw them last week in Adelaide on their 50th anniversary tour but my wife needed to be back in the Philippines so sadly could not be with me. I've fixed it! Bought tickets for their last Aussie concert in Brisbane on December 4 and she'll be with me then. Judith's voice is as good or better now than in the 60's as incredible as that might be. Just wonderful!

The secret is that the music was all pre-recorded. You can tell that because he misses the first strum on the guitar when the camera is close up on the intro. Only the vocals are live. Look at the cables on the floor....they're only going from the mics, none from the instruments. That's common in TV studio performances though, they don't have the resources for a fully live performance properly engineered, so acts bring backing tracks. Glorious harmonies from them all though. Judith's a legend.

Still a great singer..

I agree. Todays music sounds like megatron raping photocopiers and then the photocopiers sicking up their nuts and bolts. I think it's called dubstep.

heavenly version

Definitely playing it tuned down a half-step which is VERY common among bands who have been performing years. Tons of top artists do it and no biggie - the voice just doesn't stay the same forever, we all know that. It still kicks ass though and is better than 99.99% of the crap on radio today.

Great version of this song. I love Judith's voice but I also enjoy hearing the voices of Athol, Bruce, and Kieth singing harmony in this version. I assume the keyboard player is somewhere in the building because I do hear a keyboard in there.

Knocked the Rolling Stones off the the spot 0:07 - they were and are just fabulous singers and musicians!!! And of course adding to it all, they got Judith's splendid beauty and soothing, celestial voice!!!
