"Myra" was recorded by the Seekers in 1964. Judith Durham was as cute as a bugsinging this number. This short video is one of my favorites, as Judith was very beautiful and lively "waltzing" around a Hawaii like pool.

I always return to a "cute" number performed by Judith Durham and her "boys"."Myra" is probably the first musical number recorded by Judith in Australia. She and the "boys" do an Hawaiian number around a pool. I find myself circling our beach deck andsinging "Myra" to the delight of fellow Bridge sitters.

I love this number with Judith and the "boys". Judith is very young when she recorded "Myra" in Australia. She looks like a teenager. But she "marches" arounda Hawaii pool leading a string of guys and beautiful women. I do the same at adeck area near the ocean. Lyrics are easy to learn, and soon I too am leading a fewin a circle. What great fun, now that I'm in love with someone very special.

I don't know if this was filmed on the Gold Coast or not, but they passed up a truly golden opportunity to record the song Massachusetts in 67 which was expressly written for them, but didn't get to them for evaluation for a number of reasons. Wish I knew exactly what all those reasons were because that song was a huge hit later that year when the Bee Gees decided to record it themselves.This song was the very shot in the arm they needed that year to launch their career into a much higher orbit and to endear themselves with the huge American market in one fell swoop.Judith Durham learned of this by chance only years later.Deciding not to appear before all of Hollywood and 22 million plus television viewers to perform Georgie Girl on the 39th Annual Academy Awards program on April 10, 1967 was also a lost golden opportunity for the group to be recognized, savored, and approached to sing songs written for their exquisite blended sound by a host of eager and creative songwriters.The song "Someday One Day" written for them by Paul Simon was a perfect example of how they were more than approachable to evaluate and record songs written for them by ANY songwriter. Not just Tom Springfield by any stretch!The American market was the huge room in the international mansion they barely peeked into and/or somehow didn't know how to enter and stay long enough to make optimum impact.

this was cool ..must be funny when they see themselves so young they are blessed to see themselves on video. I was about 16 and listened to all the seekers songs ...61 now.
