I like this version. I enjoy the straightforward and natural way The Seekers interpret music. Peter Paul & Mary were very good, but like other groups, they often over-dramatized for my taste.

If I had a Hammer was composed exclusively by Bobby Darin. Bobby once said, he was singing in a small bar songs that people could sing along with & the audience was booing & making fun of him. Bobby had composed 1000's of songs. The original Elvis voice was that of Bobby Darin. His heart was failing him & e had diabetes & on biplar drugs. He didn't understand the audence. He composed for Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, bands, etc. He felt a new age coming on. Bobby could read prophecy
