The video is from 'The World of The Seekers' DVD (1968). I've used the original audio (from 1967), to enhance the clip so that it plays at the correct speed / pitch and in stereo. More on the playlist below:

There is something so celestial & poignant about The Seekers. I think it is aided by their sepulchral vocal harmonies, & the Tape Saturation on all their early material. I feel sorry for anyone who grew up in this time; they must be hard memories to bare. It's the price we pay for love & happiness. It is only temporary. The Seekers are the worlds very BEST at capturing that innocent sublime ethos of the era that deemed world peace & love as the ultimate solution. Of course, the track that does this so effortlessly is A Whiter Shade of Pale. That track is pure magic; like much of The Seekers material.

Then, may God bless you, Angeline. My wife of 34 years is named "Andrea". I count that as a "leaner".

45 years later and I hear this song for the first time. I am listening to the Judith Durham farewell concert and found it there. I HAD to look it up. Beautiful music.

The station stop reads Mulgrave. Does that have any significance? Were the Seekers or one of them from Mulgrave?

Or they wanted the female character to be anonymous... or wanted to avoid any mistaken impression of involvement between their stars in real life...

This Seekers film clip features Mulgrave Station north west of Sydney. We lived a few hundred metres away when I was 5. Until 1970, my brothers and I would walk to the station every day and get the train to school in Windsor. You'd still see steam trains from time to time in those days but I'm not sure if they were in service or if they were maintained for historic purposes. If this was shot in 1968 like the uploader says, it would have been my first year at school. However I think he's wrong, because "The World of the Seekers" was a TV special from 1967 so this is probably the year before we moved there.I think I should dig out my DVD of this and watch it again in all its glory.
