Help me with my memory if you can. I believe it was 1982 or early 1983 that the Rockats played in Charlotte NC at the Independence Arena? I saw them there opening for the Go-Go's. It was an all around awesome show. Do they tour anymore or are they even still together?

Brought me right back to all those great shows they did at The Ritz. I saw most of them, and was there one of the two nights they recorded the live album. From about '80 to '84, I was very much into the rockabilly scene in NYC and I can tell you that it was an awesome time in my life. Sharkskin suits, vintage shirts and English creepers...thanks Dibbs, Smutty and the rest of the boys for all those fun times. It was something special.

Saw them at The Continental in Buffalo on this tour, and they melted the joint. Saw The Stray Cats at Kleinhans Music Hall about a year later, so I think I can make the comparison, and it's these guys, no question. Great to hear that they are still doing it & hope to see them gain. Who was the guy who played with Lucky Seven in the 'nineties?

I have "Live At The Ritz" on CD-R. Someone burned it... but sounds good.

brian setzer and the stray cats have been instrumental in making rockabilly a top success in the eighties...but the rockats are second to none...that's sure... anybody knows why it's impossible (does it exist actually?) to find the CD of "live at the ritz". It's the best live rockabilly album ever

Duffy's was a strip joint during the day. Made sound check a lot more interesting.
