Since their first release in 1979, they have had a loyal cult following, appealing to audiences with their eclectic blend of influences ranging from church choir music, traditional Irish folk, contemporary folk, rock, country, and pop. In addition to a slew of critically acclaimed albums, the Roches have lent their talents to the works of a wide variety of artists including Paul Simon, Philip Glass, and Laurie Anderson.
This live 1982 performance is from Evening at the Improv. The studio version of "Want Not Want Not" can be found on their album "Keep On Doing", produced by Robert Fripp.
