Echando la vista atrás, resulta inconcebible que con este pelotazo los Ramones no pasaran automáticamente a nadar en piscinas llenas de billetes de 100 dólares, pero es que en realidad más bien poco sucedió tras su lanzamiento. En 'Blitzkrieg Bop' está la esencia de la banda y del movimiento punk, con una pegadiza melodía surfeando sobre una base rítmica que es como un tren de mercancías y una guitarra que arrasa con cualquier vestigio del rock progresivo tan de moda a mitad de los años setenta. Revolución con vúmetros en llamas.
