seriously dude, the PT's are still around. If I'm correct they also released a studio LP in 1999. I know this because I own it. Blue turns to Red is on it and is one of the LP's better songs. If anyone is the Idiot that would be you. I respect your knowledge in music and I can appreciate it but you need to investigate before you begin with the name calling.

On Bobby Graham's website he lists "Get The Picture' and two of the 45's with songs from that session amongst the Pretty Things tracks he played on. I was not there of course, and can only go by credible references I find.

@captainsoul1953 I don't recall where I stated it was a 45. Under the video description I denoted "from their LP". The video is a montage of their 45 covers.

@revup67 PS, times change. For them to stay as a (as you reference) hardcore (but I think you mean raw R&B garage act) would have been foolish. Most if not all the bands doing garage rock abandoned ship no later than 1968 with the exception perhaps of the Shocking Blue. PT would have been fools to continue as their competition shed this skin. By '67 psych/pop/rock was abroad most modern day music. The desperation & creativity was there in SF Sorrow or 1970's genius track "Grass".

@polaroyds the commenter, stnsnsteel, stated "earlier" not "earliest" as you reference. The PT's went well into the 70's therefore the term earlier can reference any point in time prior to their final recordings. 1967 is in theory certainly "earlier" and grammatically correct thus he's not an idiot as you've stated. I believe an apology is due here. You'd be an IDIOT not too.

After 67 they lost that desperation. you can sense it out of their appeal. "Making it" it isn´t all. They were true to themselves, which is more than many people can say who made it. "This is certainly one of their better earlier tunes"-IDIOT. The Pretties were hardcore on "Their earlier tunes". The typical Rock music fan is regarding the sixties as a long line of "mistakes" till "Rock" established . I´m a musician and I´ve met many people who dumb and blind to the sixties. Makes me wanna vomit

This song was an LP track only-from their best album-in my opinion. It was partially written by the session musicians hired-one of these is Jimmy Page who is playing the amazing electric12-string guitar on this track. The famous UK session drummer Bobby Graham plays drums on this LP and the first LP, as well as all of the Pretty Things early hits.

up there with the Faces, this band is one of the most underrated bands in rock history. I discovered these guys listening to Little Steven Underground Garage. This is certainly one of their better earlier tunes.

Sounds a lot like the Liverpool Five, especially the lead vocal.

the best group of the times. Sound like the best formations of the psychadélic erae of san Fransico too rough for the swiging London
