I'm borderline positive this song is about his opinion of Religion in general back before he went Jew for Jesus. I remember in an interview he said he'd "stopped believing in a god" and I feel like this is an outburst of that period. I could be wrong though, the name itself suggests otherwise. i remember reading somewhere that max became an atheist around this time, and from their lyrics it sounds like he saying that people who are brought up with religion but never question or look into it are idiots with the whole' "you've been lead on" (always brought up to believe something, that in max's mind, doesn't exist ) there is some sarcasm in here too.
