I am currently in a huge Posies phase. I didn't think this would happen again, but it's here. I loved them in college. And this song is how I was introduced to them, via MTV. This little gem is how I'd first show the Posies to anyone, probably. 'Dream All Day' is a catchy, somewhat dark, quasi-psychedelic, power pop prize. If you like this, you'll likely enjoy many Posies songs...If Donna were to find that I've fallen back into the Posies, she'd laugh so hard. So laugh, Donna. Laugh.

Yes indeed with an ounce of weed and a little whiskey I did dream all day.Back in 93, taped off Radio Massey, added to the mix with other grunge hits.Now I finally realise it was the Posies singing away, now to find that other tune!

It always pissed me off that the Posies were occasionally dismissed as being 'grunge'. Not everything from Seattle is grunge. This album may of had loud guitars but it was so much more than grunge. It had great harmonies, great songwriting, great hooks... things not attributed to grunge. If anything the Posies deserved much more fame and fortune than crap like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, or even Nirvana. Frosting on the Beater, Dear 23, and Failure are truly exceptional. And their other albums are very good, too.
