This song was written about an old working class man in Liverpool U.K. - he was arrested for being drunk ( 1981 I think) . The police beat the shit out of him in his cell , killed him and covered up the killing. Nobody was prosecuted for the murder and the issue was quickly forgotten. Nobody cared about a "worthless" working class man crushed by the system.

The song that introduced the world to this excellent punk band from South Wales. The single with its B side Killing Machine was released in Sept. 1981. At this time much of the public thought punk was dying, although for those in the know Oi was seriously kicking butt. And The Partisans were still holding the punk banner high. Their eponymous first album is punk of the highest order!! And in 1982 The Violators, Blitz, The Varukers, One Way System, GBH, and The Ejected burned bright in England.
