Tracey Thorn and Paul Weller (and gang)... fantastic. Tracey is equally lovely throughout her catalog in her band Everything But The Girl with her then husband Ben Watt. [Geek alert] It is funny how time changes your perception. Listening to Paul comp through these II-V-I changes, his playing sounds so much clunkier than I remember with his Yamaha L-5 copy dripping with trebly chorus. He just doesn't that comfortable with Swing (Jazz), but it doesn't detract too much. Mick Talbot (piano) and Steve White (drums) put in a workman like performance. And before the haters come out, I am a HUGE fan of all thing the Modfather has produced from The Jam >> The Style Council >> Paul Weller (solo). I love just about everything he has done. As a guitarist, I just would have made a few different choices, that's all.

One of my all time favorite songs! Marvelous job of adding photos to match the mood and feel of the song! I wish there was an old video somewhere of Tracey Thorn singing this in a swanky Paris nightclub!

Used to listen to this in the car in the 80s on my way into the city (Frankfurt) to work... summer 1984. Best years of my life. I can't get over how beautiful this is. I'm cracked on it... her voice too... the whole lot. Just great. A perfect production. Superb.
