i know this in the 2003-2004 ish time period, but having Neko Case in your band has to be intimidating. Granted the material here doesn't highlight her voice, but that guy "la-la-la" while she's singing is a ridiculous. Haven't heard a lot of NP's, but they strike me as a run of the mill, vanilla, Wall Flowers, Wilco type band.

Incorrect. I saw them without neko case and they were just as good if not better, in fact, the girl singing (also the keys player) hit the notes better than neko.
