I remember being a little girl, my mother taking me to see her memorial. Being an Illinois native it was something I didn't fully take in until I put it together with the fact that my family has always been a Union family. As a girl I couldn't appreciate those trips until I went by myself as an adult. Now, whenever I get home I make a trip to visit Mother Jones' memorial. I thank her for her conviction and my job to this day.

Mother Jones - The Most Dangerous Woman. It should not be a surprise she was in her 80's she probably had plenty of time on her hands at that point, and that means plenty of time for fighting. Costa Rica? Lol. Costa Rica apparently was getting some good reviews from people who left for there wishing to live in freedom, a comment suggested however due to some changes these glory days are over, or curtailed perhaps.

While you are BBQing or doing whatever you are doing today, please take a moment to remember what Labor Day was about: people who fought and died for the rights of the workers to have safe working conditions and a fair wage.
