The Moody Blues - Really Haven't Got The Time скачать видео бесплатно

Recorded live in the summer of 1966 with Mike Pinder on lead vocals.

This film of the original line up of the Moody Blues is unusual because it features Rod Clarke on bass and backing vocals.

Clint Warwick had already left the band and was due to be replaced by John Lodge, but he was not available for the dates that had been booked in Europe so Rod Clarke was hired as a stand in.

Denny Laine left after these dates so Justin Hayward was brought in to complete the classic line up of the Moody Blues. Rod Clarke went on to play bass with the Rockin Berries.

Update:

In my collection I found the Decca release of this recorded on 30th March 1967, which actually has Justin Hayward and John Lodge playing and singing on it. It was their first recording session with the Moody Blues so its right on the crossover between the two versions of the band. That version with Justin and John was released as a single in the US and UK but did not chart.

It does not seem to have ever been recorded by the original Mk 1 Moody Blues other than on this film.

Really cool. Sounds nothing like The Moody Blues. I glad someone posted this.

Uh huh. I think the studio session for the single version of the song was in March 1967; by then Hayward and Lodge were already in place and the band was coming off a club tour of Europe. Somebody here has a video of this song as one of the FIRST appearances of Hayward and Lodge with the band, late in 1966.

Yes, as you will see from the info panel under the video it took me a while to realise that the actual released version of this has Hayward and Lodge singing on it making this video a rare performance.

I'm impressed. I had no idea this song dated back that far; almost a year before the single was released.

Wouldn't this be more accurately be the MB5 or had they changed at this point to Moody Blues?

There is so much more energy in this live version than in the recorded version with Hayward and Lodge. It's clear that these guys were a great blues and bar band with that energy, while the later version was destined for different, more creative music. But that energy here is just fantastic and Clarke fit right in.

OMG! My daughter and I watched this together about 4 years ago.We have been obssessed with the guy at the end who is standing staring into the camera(in the middle of the crowd) We called him hair boy and talk of him often although I could not remember the name of the band. I suddenly thought it may have been the moody blues and may have been in Europe and hey presto! Here it is!! Does anyone know who he is?? This is a great video!!

@DieselProductions11 No. The Line up is Pinder, Edge, Thomas, Denny Laine, Rod Clarke. Clint Warwick had already left by this point. I think this was the last weeks of the Mk1 Moodies before Lodge joined then followed by Hayward.
