From the mind of a genius comes another beautiful song. Thanks for sharing this cool video with me. "Retro Ron" on you tube playing other Moody Blues songs. Gotta love them.

@scotswanderer Yes last year at The OC Fair. They also did that really pretty Christmas song too. I really enjoyed them and hope they come back to the area soon.

@markmvt That must have been the same tour I saw them in SoCal last summer. Made my night when they sang this. it's always been one of my faves.

I'd pay a lot to see him do an "Unplugged" album. Same for him and John Lodge playing together.

I saw them last week. They did this song. Really pretty they way they do it now. This is a good version too. He could do a whole solo show with just him and his guitar.

I've seen the moody blues 19 times - the first time I saw them in Buffalo, NY on a Saturday night I believe , Halloween Oct . 31st 1981 if memory serves correctly "Driftwood" was Impressive

exceptional...een for me mates in the Moodies. Nice humble explanation by Juston and some dad gummed good playing and singing. Best thing about these fellows is that they never waste your time with junk music. Tom in Utica

seems like there's quite a bit of negative comments going around you tube. that's a shame. all that aside, this is a great version of a beautiful song. i think it would be great to hear more of justins songs played solo acoustic. his songs can stand on their own without other instruments and i would love to hear them arranged like that.

Damned right too. if you want to hear great guitar listen to Stan Webb of Chickenshack, he was rated as equal to Peter Green, Clapton, as one of the four greats at that time. Black Night is a superb blues track. Guitar playing takes a lifetime I know i am still learning, and it will always be that way.

Started to ignore U Name droppers and wannabes..so amusing. You assume? Merely expressed a complimentary observation. Never represented myself as a guitarist. Pro Audio shows was where I may have (as a student and studio owner) annoyed a few undiscovered genuises such as yourself. Just a fan, enthusiast, and merely one who appreciates artistic mastery in many forms; need not justify any credentials or credits to u....likely one never to produce or achieve anything original. Prove me wrong!

I don't know what is smoother: J's crooning 3 octave vocal range, or his (actual) manually harmonized guitar whole note sutains and riffs (widely featured throughout Seventh Sojourn). Most guitarist would have to use an ebo/slide and an Eventide Harmonizer to accomplish these soaring seamless (not chords) but 2 note octave sustains and leads which are his trade mark.
