Great Memories & thanks to video and you tube, we can watch them still grooving & moving. And here I am, older than dirt, laid back and doing drugs legally!! Glad they can still Rock!!!Rock and Roll lives Forever. Monkees....Beatles....Guess Who....and singles we love like Pat Boone "Love Letters in the Sand"...smooching music. (Sigh)And Elvis, "I want you I need you I love you. Hundreds more. Swaying to the music. How about "I can't get no satisfaction"...ohhhhh yeah!!!Rolling Stones brought us a Billion hits. Boy crazy me & BFF Judy, ran the downtown circuit. So cool.

Damn good but my favorite is still the Liverpool Five's 1966 original album track that turned the Monkees on to the tune.

Between age 10 - 12..... loved them.....and still do..... regardless of the controversy regarding who wrote what, who sang what, who was a musician or who wasn't.... it was fun, innocent (yes bubblegum) days.....and my cousins and I danced until we dropped.....Thank you for this upload

Bit of a let down Dolenz wasn't on drums, but hey, remember watching him on "Circus Boy" in black and white.

They belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They outsold and outdid most of the acts in the Hall. The Monkees are legendary and one of the greats. That is a fact.

Back in the day most everyone used session musicians, except for the greats, but even than, used session musicians for recording, like "The Wrecking Crew" who where Leon Russell, Hal Blaine, Glenn Campbell, and others, with Phil Spector. The Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, Steely Dan used session musicians. Toto were also session musicians for almost everyone in the music industry especially Jeff Porcaro, everyone used him, he was great, from Steely Dan, Boz Skaggs, Don Henley, Dire Straits, Bruce Spingstein, Jackson Browne, the list is endless. Now everyone has to use session musicians due to lack of talent.
