the monkees are at once, one of the most under-rated yet, paradoxically, successful bands in terms of sales and top 40 hits. these songs are awesome! again, the songs are timeless but representative of the style of the time in which they were written and recorded. great stuff. michael nesmith's solo stuff is great.

Met Micky at a casino in WV class act all the way, performance was stellar plus he had his daughter singing with him. Very personable individual if you ever meet him. Plus a cool song.

It was something a bigot said on TV and it sounded funny to Micky. The show became "All in the family" in the USA. Notice the title is never mentioned anytime during the song. These are great lyrics depicting a night with The Beatles and it just happens Micky met his future wife at the place. The being known as wondergirl (Dolenz's future wife, Top of the Pops "disc girl" Samantha Juste.) Is speaking, I believe It's not easy trying to tell her That I shortly have to leave

Slight "Dedicated follower of fashion" tune ... with very sophisticate meter lyrics But again, it is something that maybe The Beatles would've put out. The scat is a McCartney riff (Rocky Racoon) & Micky put's on a slight Brit accent . I think we have established these lads sure passed THEIR audition.
