On this day in 1966 {April 10th} "A Groovy Kind of Love" by the Mindbenders entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #78; six weeks later on May 22nd, 1966 it would peak at #2* {for 2 weeks} and spent 13 weeks on the Top 100...It also peaked at #2 {for 1 week} in the United Kingdom, the week it was at #2, the #1 record was "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" by Nancy Sinatra...As the Mindbenders they had one other Top 100 record, "Ashes to Ashes", it reached #55 in 1966; and with Wayne Fontana they had two Top 100 hits, "Game of Love" {#1 in 1965} and "It's Just A Little Bit Too Late" {#45 in 1965}...* The 2 weeks it was at #2 on the Top 100 chart, the #1 record for both those weeks was "When a Man Loves a Woman" by Percy Sledge...
