Not only incredible but fun too! Good clean fun, like we need more of nowadays...By the way - I just realized even the bass player was ahead of his time, check out the six string bass!

I thought playing like this was illegal in most states.

Don S. was my guitar teacher back in the day; great player and a great guy. He's still going strong as ever, of course.

Nice Monteleone mandolin. Love to have one if I had about 30 grand laying around. Jethro was the greatest of all time, IMHO, but Stiernberg gets way too little credit. That guy can flat-out pick.

Good people this IS music, and I don't care who you are.

Excellant music. The mix is just right. With two mandolins and a guitar, the sound needs bottom which it gets from the Fender VI. Of course it's electric and the mandolins are miced. I'm a little surprised that someone with a hearing defect from birth would criticize a sound mix. I would think someone with a congenital hearing defect would consider himslef lucky to be able to enjoy the music.

Well, as a matter of fact I Do have a congenital hearing loss but still, the bass is way too loud. It's hard to get good balance in a live taping. Got nothing against bass players I just like to hear the soloists get more of the audio that's all...

The current issue of Fretboard Journal has a great, heartfelt, well-researched remembrance of Jethro Burns. I've written a half-dozen pieces for the mag, so I'm obviously a supporter. The editors gave writer John Kruth a well deserved 14 pages for Jethro's story, and worth every bit of it. Great writing and some terrific photos.
