The biggest compliment the Kinks earn when I play this cut for a friend, here and there, is "THAT was 1975??" The Beatles were never this good - and the Kinks only got better for another ten years. (Their LAST eight years, they were phoning it in...until Phobia in 1993. That was what tipped me off that they were about done...their last hurrah.)

Pink Floyd and Roger Waters are not fit to clean The Kinks and Ray Davies skivies, The Kinks are leagues beyond Pink Floyd musically and lyrically and too bad you'll never realize that Charles because it's obvious your awareness is quite limited and I doubt you'll ever be able to rise out of the dumbed down world that is your natural state.

Thanks for a great post!! Have to disagree with a previous comment, however, concerning lip-synching. Yeah, the music is definitely pre-recorded, but Ray changes some of the lyrics just enough that I have to believe he's really singing. Whichever, it's all Great Kinkular Music! GBTKs forever

Thanks for uploading. This is a really cool song. The lyrics, guitar sound, everything about it culminates it into a great song. And I think wow, this is my favorite Kink's song, but no wait there are a million other KInks favorites just as good. How amazing that they could create so many good songs in one life time...so glad to be in this century to hear & experience such awesome music
