So in tune with the comments on this. I'm sure Jamie can play exquisite solos, but The Kills' music is all about excitement, immediacy and energy. It appeals to anyone who's ever turned their practice amp up to 11 and pretended they can play bottleneck guitar using an old biro.

They sound SO much better in a small room like this. The videos of them in large concert halls just doesn't work imo. This performance let's the punch of their music hit hard. And it shows why having a drum machine works so so much better for this band than a live drummer. A live drummer would ruin it. The drum machine has punch and edge...allowing Jamie's guitar to hammer down razor sharp riffs over top. It's all so dark and bluesy....absolutely love it!
