If you like this.... Youtube Wall Of Voodoo - Seven Days In Sammystown the whole album, a very similar style with little mini-songs in between the main ones. It's a style I've always liked, those snippets between the songs, can anyone out there point to pre- Stan Ridgeway use of it? I bet he wasn't the first, just the first for my age group I'm guessing [52 now].

A lot of bands follow this pattern. They make a great album full of great hit songs and become successful and then make something really ambitious to try and top it and/or distance themselves from the sound that got them famous. It happened with The killers, Suede, Nirvana, Radiohead(multiple times) and many others. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it does not.Sam's town is an example of when it does.
