Before Cyndi Lauper, Amore, Live Aid and the record contract from Columbia, the Hooters were tearing it up on the stages of night clubs and high schools all around the Philly area. Add to that a strong support of radio airplay from 93.3 WMMR, they built quite a following of fans. Here's a clip from that very exciting era featuring the original line-up of Rob Hyman-keyboards/hooter, Eric Bazilian-guitar/sax, David Uosikkinen-drums, John Kuzma/guitar & Bobby Woods/bass. October 1982, The Brandywine Club, Chadds Ford, PA.

This video was shot at the "Brandywine Club" at the intersection of rt202 and rt.1 in PA.The building is no longer there I believe, it is a car dealer now.I saw this band every time they were anywhere near west chester.Actually this was the night before  or close to the day the first 45 was released.I remember dragging my boyfriend down to Media to get it.The guys all signed it and Rico wrote something about the night at the Brandywine Club.

this is when the hooters peaked for me. I loved this band--saw them countless times between 1980-1982

Where was this shot? I still have one of those Hooters signs that are on the amps. Got mine at Bucks County Community College show for Halloween 1980.

Just heard about Bob's passing. I met him last year through a mutual friend and he was a great guy. He will be missed.

It´s really true you can´t get it out of your head. But I like the song, so it doesn´t bother me. Eric is not only a great guitar player, he´s hot too. ;) Love him!

No I didn't. Somehow I missed these guys, but once I watched this video I got this song stuck in my head. A freind of mine calls this "ear worms". You can't get it out of your head until you pass it along to someone else. Anyway, I think he is a great guitar player and if they ever come to Tampa, FL, I will be there.

Yes. He´s cool. I´m going to see The Hooters this summer, the´re playing here in Sweden. Did you know that Eric Bazilian played in one of the songs in the swedish outtakes for Eurovision song contest some years ago? That´s pretty awsome!

Is Eric the lead guitarist in the red shirt?

There is a guy in my school who looks very much like Eric Bazilian. That´s kind of scary. :S

Totally true, this band played at my high school in Cherry Hill, New Jersey... Same year saw Adam Ant, Scandal, Def Leppard, then Bon Jovi, Eddie Money,...Yikes, that was back in the day...

Yes, that is Bobby Woods on bass, he and John Kuzma played together in the legendary Asbury Park band The Shakes (one time house band at the Stone Pony...check the liner notes on the 1st Jukes album, for the mention) Check out Vmix (search for: Hooters), David Uosikkinen is the owner of Vmix, so I posted a few more from the show there, plus a couple of other things I dug up.
