The Guess Who - Wednesday in Your GardenWheatfield Soul, while not a major success, is still a favorite among the Guess Who's fan base. "These Eyes" was their breakthrough single, and a radio favorite across the world. "Pink Wine Sparkles in the Glass" has notable lyrics and is also a radio favorite in Winnipeg. "I Found Her in a Star" is an underrated ballad written by Cummings, which features fuzz guitar by Bachman.+steph wanamaker +Patricia Nordeen #SOTD #SOTW #musicbomb #musiceveryday #TheGuessWho

I think Burton'sm Voice has held up amazing!Compare him to say Rober Plant.Plant doesnt hit the notes he used to..but not so for Burton haa!Of course your voice will change with age..but he still rules.

Burts voice was unbelievably good during this era. Not as good now, but that's just life. Wish this lineup could have paced themselves and got along much longer.

Bob Allen

I remember Barry Allen had a minor hit with this tune. His version was good, but Burton really nails it!

The song i love to hate & hate to love! My girl screwed my best friend and there you go! Still...The Guess Who carried me thru the whole darn mess - till the record wore out.

The voice. the music...Destined for greatness. Looking back now at the successes and the notoriety. One of the best bands in history. Thank you, Burton Cummings.

A female soul singer sampled this as well. Would you happen to know who it was? The had a very raw, raspy voice. I know The Staple Singers sampled it as well but I know that version. Any help please...Thank you!

I once met Burt at a autograph session. I praised him for this tune. He told me it was Randy's tune. Randy may have wrote it, but Burt owns the publishing rights from Nimbus 9. This caused a major rift between Randy and Burt. He got to the publishing rights for their tunes before Randy, and did not share. I read it in Randy's book. Oh well...that's business.

LOL! LOL! LOL! 99ONTGUY, I'm afraid that I've never owned a pair blue jeans or a blue jay hat in my entire life! I was still into polyester stuff. Now, I wear black denims and a purple velour hat. I've gone rad!!!
