The white Jimi Hendrix .. suffered from reverse race discrimination? ie if TS was black would YOU rate his playing a bit xtra? Think about it.

Anybody got any idea of what the lyrics say or mean? does anyone have the exact lyrics? Here's the reason why. This darn song came into a dream I had this morning such that it woke me up and took me about 1 hour to figure out where I heard that tune. I kind of knew it was a McPhee piece because of the sound. Very distinct. Perhaps one of the more remarkable musicians as you know it is a Groundhogs tune if it is being played. Oh well. good tune. The next one is even better. Free from all alarm.

It's a great photo but by this time Ken Pustelnik had left the band and had been replaced by Clive Brooks ..

The guitar is played thro an EMS Synthi Hi-Fli. Sadly it never took off due to the unstable analogue circuitry. A forerunner of multi-effect processors we get today that ironically make guitars sound samey.

Saw Basketcase and Ken's band Snatch it Back a couple of weeks ago (in Bury St. Edmunds, as it happens). Both amazing.

Absolutely awesome!!! Pete Cruickshank is still playing in a band in Bury St Edmunds called "Basketcase" and they actually do this. About 2 weeks ago, they recorded it again with Steve Underwood on Vocals, Ian Morley on guitar and Kev Van Dort or drums. If they ever put it on here (An I will ask them to,) have a listen!! Pete is definitely the "Grand Daddy of Rock" :o)

Production is quite muddy tho... think how good this would have sounded cut at, say, Rockfield in Wales.

TS guitar is through the "Cadec desk" he was using about then.. Conjured up all kinds of wizardry. If you think you havent heard that particular guitar effect before...you're right.

no wonder were lemmy got his sound from. Its like an hillbilly/pirate version of early pink fairies and motorhead.
