I still cant believe that this song wasn't a #1 hit of summer '67..... at the same time, had the Dead become a mainstream band like Airplane, they would not have the legacy they created.... which is way more important.

@laughinsunshine6 id much rather have LSD than mushrooms... ive had some horrific trips on shrooms but weridly thats never happened to me on LSD.. only bad trips have been from 1/8ths of shrooms

Yeah so i havent tripped on LSD in like 2 years, everytime i have done it though i've listened to the Grateful dead and you just cannot go wrong...i plan on taking some pretty soon and iv narrowed it down too this album "The grateful dead" and "eat a peach" by The Allman Bros. those 2 albums will be the soundtracks to my trip...Cant fucking wait to Experience this music not just Hear it.

I was young at the time and dropped Owsley Acid and others.......Most people don't understand that a lot of 60s music was specifically designed to be listened to in that state. This album is one and is LSD music. On 350 mics and up it will change into something that can't be explained, only experienced.
