@antiguoautomata Thanks.Before I met her,Her best friend was Dan Treacy and he wrote 'Magnificent Dreams' off the second LP for her.That's 2 great songs.They drifted apart.Telling that story to you was probably motivated by the fact I just learned that Dan suffered a blood clot on the brain last October.I used to live with the guy and I didn't know it'd happened.He's only recently come out of a coma.I feel old suddenly,and need to connect with people again.Thank you for inspiring me.The Interne

After they split,we saw them play at the Dominion.they opened with this and she fell apart.I had to rush her out of the building,with someone wanting to speak to her every few steps.Later,Robert wrote some really harsh comments about this part of his life in the sleeve notes to some comp.I miss you Sandy.

My best friend was the subject of this song.She adopted me as her friend when I was 15,and introduced me to everyone.Chrissie Hynde lookalike.When she went out with Robert,she left a box of love letters with me from when he was touring Europe.She said I could read em if bored enough,so one day I thought,'hey,one of the great contemporary poets of the heart,let's have a look'.That's when I realised he didn't love her back.He got emotional only when the Kings Cross fire happened.
