Nah. I just listened to both and I don't hear it. I hear two songs with very stripped back arangements. Beyond that....... Listen to any one of the previous Go-Between albums and you'll find songs that use similar structure and chord progressions, especially so of their mid 80's Grant McClennan songs.

I've been hearing this song a lot on Pandora and I kept turning off to try to figure out what song it sounds just like. I could not figure it out until just now. Hmmm. Well, I think if Bruce Springsteen wanted to sue for plagiarizing "Streets of Philadelphia", he might have a pretty good case. I can understand subconscious plagiarism. But clearly someone along the line must have recognized the similarity. Especially considering that Springsteen's song won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and four Grammy Awards!
