This was not published in Stereo, even on EMI's Legendary Masters, but it did make it to public domain (with lots of studio talk). Took (6) overdubbed sessions to accomplish. Great song! Thanks! Manfred Mann's version (Great, too) was edited - FYI. It, too, made it to EMI's Legendary Masters, but, sadly, in Mono, though stereo is available..

This did go to # 78 on billboard 8 months before Manfred Mann. Should have been bigger but Roulette records were on thre way out at this time so no promotion.

This is the root! R&B... seminal R&R! Manfred Mann is merely a cover.... conveys the exploitation of Black American Popular Music.... so sad! Remember this selection by the Exciters is the root.... the foundation of American Popular Music is Black! Pure and simple. A very nice song!
