Born from an electro/rave scene, and more eclectic with each album, you'll probably notice interesting structure and drum patterns.Mike Skinner generally has a singsongy feel to his delivery, which might be his style or just his accent. Also, he doesn't rhyme on the snare as most hip-hop does. As a matter of fact, a lot of his tracks don't have snares.
