It's pop punk. a sub genre of punk. just like hardcore punk is another sub genre. and if i played fast drums, fast guitar, and yelled into the ,mic but only had happy lyrics it wouldn't be hardcore punk ? not the punk i know and love. and considering your youtube user name and the bands you've recently listened to such as miss may i, fall out boy, and attack attack! it doesn't seem you listened to much "punk" in the first place. plus judging other peoples forms of art isn't very cool.
