To the drums never forget your root's its what made you at the end of the day. That said and done i can't see this tune growing on me what so ever. Don't get me wrong to experiment is one thing but change your style is another. Just saying.

I think the reason why some people might be appalled from their new style is because it has lost its beachy vibe and catchy melody sound, IMO that is what made the drums sound excellent, I see potential in the new sound but it is a far cry from Encyclopedia and Portamento
