@prof1964 not sad at all, it sounds better than any previous version, at least what i have heard so far. which version do you prefer most? do you know who sings the original version after all?

@prof1964 As the great Bass legend NHØP once said; you should only do a cover if you can do it better than the original... in this case i would then say that Neil owns the song now. This is the best version ever, and it's like it's just been waiting for him to claim it. :)

@prof1964 I think he did this simply because he could. It was recorded live at Shepherd's Bush Empire, his first gig with a full orchestra. I wouldn't read too much into it.

What's the point in recording a song that sounds so much like the original...it' good to have heroes but pay tribute to them..don't simply copy them......a bit sad really.
