I played a fairly steady band gig in a hotel on Cape Cod in 1988, and remember hearing this neat tune on WZLX. Wonderful soft country tune, from an unusual but enjoyable era in country music. Gotta dig that heavily chorused guitar.

Thank you for posting the studio version. 1988....doesnt seem possible. I remember when it hit the charts and was such a huge it even in to 89. What a great time in my mid 20s. Funny how a song can bring back such good memories. This song still sounds very contemporary only better.
