Croz emerged from the depths of hell. Check out the Zombie Eyes at 1:50 mark. Bless him!

Check out Drugs charges and prison time

In 1982, after appearing in criminal courts facing several drugs and weapons charges, Crosby spent 9 months in Texas prisons. The drug charges stemmed from charges related to possession of heroin and cocaine.

In 1985, David Crosby, on probation for drunken driving, was arrested for hit-and-run driving and possession of a concealed pistol and drug paraphernalia. Crosby was arrested after driving into a fence in a Marin County suburb and officers found a .45-caliber pistol and cocaine in his car.

One of his famous stories is that while being interviewed, after being arrested, the reporter asked him: "Why did you have a gun?" Crosby responded, "John Lennon, man" and replied the same to each subsequent question.

On March 7, 2004, he was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, illegal possession of a hunting knife, illegal possession of ammunition and illegal possession of about 1 ounce of marijuana. Crosby left said items behind in his hotel room. "Authorities said a hotel employee searched the suitcase for identification and found about an ounce of marijuana, rolling papers, two knives and a .45-caliber pistol. Mr. Crosby was arrested when he returned to the hotel to pick up his bag." After spending 12 hours in jail, he was released on $3500 bail. On July 4, 2004, he pleaded guilty to "attempted criminal possession of a weapon," was fined $5,000 and given no jail time. "Prosecutors did not seek a more severe penalty on the weapons charge because the pistol was registered in California and was stowed safely in his luggage when it was found. A charge of "unlawful possession of marijuana" was dismissed. "Mr. Crosby was discharged by the court on condition that he pay his fine and not get arrested again."[9]

Oh, he's lit alright - but very much in control. Music is Dave's element. They sound great.

Superb! Thanks for posting. I don`t give a crap what these guys do i listen to them for their music. Maybe he was high as a kite in this, maybe he was tour-tired. I don`t know or care. Listening to this kind of music helps me stay non-judgemental and free and i don`t want to get into all that, i just want to listen to the music. Thanks for posting.

This was a year after his bust for coke and a .45 in Dallas. His eyes look high as a kite at 1:50, wow. Not long after this, David did his time, got off and stayed off coke for good. Cocaine can be an evil drug, it didn't help me much. It made my older piece of crap brother a lot of money. Can you say tax evasion, the IRS can, lol...

I am so glad I lived during these times ! People made a better effort to connect and share ! Not so stressful times ! We had a some better ways to release our daily stress ! And I think race was not a major issue then !Most hippies were cool people !

What's that for weird heading for a CSN tune.? Was expecting a lowdown on his schizophrenic behaviour.

I Love this version..Stephen w the Firebird..David w the 12 string..Graham w a Paul.. Each was integral to this band. and I think Graham did a lot to help David get clean..and that is admirable and he Kept his Brother alive...I'm Thankful for that..I Love These Guys..and in reply to the negative comments about David..He appears to be Kicking some Ass here...rise above the stigma...They Are Epic.

My favorite thing about this is that for most of the song Graham doesn't even pretend to play guitar.

So..."the Drug Years"...as in...1963-present? When has David Crosby not been on something? He's claimed to be "clean and sober" since the late 80's, yet still manages to get busted with weed in the 21st century. Bear in mind, too, that's just what he FORGOT in his hotel room.

well,,,he nails all of his lyrics and plays normal ---- if you DIDNT do any drugs you were in the minority back in those days-----this appears to be a failed attempt to sensationalize drug use---- now if he missed his cue,,stopped playing or fell down--- but he didn't ----actually a pretty stellar performance,,,,,
