August 1996 and the UK's premier sea side resort is braced for a weekend of madness as thousands of multi-coloured multi-racial punk rockers descend on the town to celebrate 20 years of their favourite music: the Holidays in the Sun weekender is born. With 50 bands playing on two stages over three days HITS is was an unprecedented success in so much that despite much publicised local fears of drunken riots caused by the festival, there was absolutely no trouble, whatsoever. Indeed it proved to be one of the most fun-packed events of the final decade of the 20th Century. Never before had so many big name punk acts been gathered under the same roof as the world famous Wintergardens shared its old-time ballroom splendour with the spiky topped class of '76.

This ten camera, documentary style movie includes all aspects of that legendary weekend -- on stage, back stage and front of stage as well as numerous band interviews and fly on the wall encounters with visiting punks in and around Blackpool. If you were there you're probably in it. If you missed it, this is the closest you'll get.
