Grab your hankies. Not just because it's a sad song, but poor old Charlie Crane sounds like his front teeth have just been knocked out!

The Cryin' Shames (Joe Meek) - Please Stay - 1966 45rpmThis is an immensely beautiful masterpiece.....Another brilliant production from Joe Meek pure genius with The Crying Shames....This is so sad and so beautiful....What a fabulous song....It is so special. This is the best ever track by The Crying Shames one of the most beautiful in music history with that profound haunting quality; about one of the most emotional encounters that mankind - men and women will without doubt be visited by lots of relationships will at one point in time be passing this wat at this very spot sadly and this will be the turning point and one would hope this song would make it different. This is a song that one would chose as an essential song that one would want their partner to hear at least and then if it worked it would be heaven. If not at least they would together have shared for the last time one of the most beautiful romantic songs ever before they went their different ways and with the full knowledge that at least they tried everything. Thanks to Sids60sSounds for this fabulous upload...
