The Criminals was my first "real" punk show, and suffice to say, it changed my perspective on music for the rest of my life. My buddy and I were in the front row and he said "Play fuck you all", and Jesse responded "This ain't no fucking rock show", and then proceeded to spit in his face. Classic. The Frisk were pretty awesome, too.

this musta been from an out of town show... i remember them (band and crowd) having a thousand times more energy at gilman. jesse was notorious for swinging the mic around and busting the front row singers in the face if they didnt know the words. haha. awesome band, 'never been caught' still one of my favorite albums. highly suggest checkin it out.

I miss the Criminals. One of the best live bands in the mid-late 90's Bay Area scene. That is saying something. I'll never forget the "Carrie" show at Gilman.

Ah, fuck yes, The Criminals. I think I may like Against All Authority's cover of this song better, though. Just faster. More aggressive.
