I've got some sweet memories with this song. Whenever I listen to this song, it reminds me of the Summer days in London. Great song!

I come from Yeovil and used to work for a very short time with "pop" Barber - fantastic bloke. Seems amazing they never got the coverage they deserved. RIP in Dave - Up the Glovers!

saw the play the Southampton Polygon around 1988 - no stage - just played on the floor. totally unexpected how good they were live! remember a few years later watching the bassist's band BASINGER play in London - only 2 of us in the audience! still it numbed the pain of the earlier nights defeat at the hands of Barnet (Barnet 3 Carlisle United 2)!!

@nevyn: Two albums? There were four - Kettle ('87), Westward Ho! ('87), Crocodile Tears ('88) and Flood ('94).

That yellow cardigan was still being worn by Davey right up until he was sadly taken from us. If you are looking down on us Davey, can I just say it looks bloody awful. I didn't want to say anything when you were still with us. Miss you loads, Chief. Hope you are causing a fuss wherever you are.

b-side for this single was Last Train to Yeovil (on the 12 inch version I've still got). Will have to give a turn before my footy team head there next season!

That was at Raffles - a night club now closed - which is under the shopping centre. Not a workies club at all. Was called The Troubadour before and Wall St. after. Was on the circuit for the indie bands back then and saw Brilliant Corners, Primal Scream, Pop Will eat itself and others there with the local gang. Manager used to ask some of us - shall I book these? I was at that gig and just dug out a bootleg tape of it for a mate which is why I was watching this. Date of gig was 9th April 1987
